How Far Along Are You?

Considering Abortion?

Our highly trained, experienced medical staff will be glad to provide you with a free and confidential limited ultrasound. In North Carolina a woman is required to participate in an ultrasound prior to abortion procedures to confirm pregnancy and verify your options.  The pregnancy test followed by the ultrasound is used to determine the gestational age and viability of your pregnancy.

The staff at UCity Women’s Center will review test results in a confidential setting and provide you with accurate information about your options so you can make informed decisions.

Why an Ultrasound?

An ultrasound can be used to determine the viability of your pregnancy, since at 6 to 7 weeks a heartbeat can be routinely monitored.  Limited ultrasounds can also determine if your pregnancy is ectopic, in which the pregnancy develops outside the uterus, requiring immediate medical attention. Our medical staff will determine if you require a limited ultrasound after pregnancy confirmation.

Our staff recommends STD testing prior to visiting an abortion clinic in Charlotte.
